A well meaning person once told me to not reach too high because they didn't want me to get hurt. How often have we heard,"don't set yourself up for failure." We tell our children, "don't climb too high you might fall" or "don't run too fast you might trip" We mean all that in the most caring way but these very messages from childhood are ingrained in our minds. We grow up thinking "we can't". We stay in our comfort zone and never take risks. As a child, we constantly tried new things. It's in failing and trying again, over and over that we learned new skills.
If we all could be that little child again, we could accomplish great things.

"Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved" - William Jennings Bryan
